I've learned great writing takes creation and recreation, tearing down and building back up again. It means having the ability to let go, being vulnerable, and scrapping what's not working until you nail it. And, of course, it takes a fiery passion to convey your ideas by using the words (or pictures) that work best.
I've written for ad agencies, in-house marketing groups and sports journalism websites. I've been called intern, copywriter, photojournalist, proofer, moderator, editor, teacher, speechwriter, content machine, creative leader and therapist.
